Gold Coast Pizzeria Highlights Lou Malnati's 40th Anniversary

Lou Malnati’s is opening the doors to its 33rd pizzeria on Monday, July 4, 2011. Located at 1120 N. State Street in the city’s Gold Coast neighborhood, this pizzeria will be the company’s new flagship location, and have the largest seating capacity of all the Malnati restaurants to date. Lou Malnati's is famous for its Chicago-style deep dish pizza and has become a staple for local Chicagoans, as well as a mandatory destination for tourists.
The addition of the Gold Coast restaurant comes at an exciting time for the Malnati family having recently celebrated the company’s 40th anniversary on March 17th.
“We are really looking forward to joining this neighborhood of great restaurateurs, with what will be our largest, most energetic place,” said owner, Marc Malnati. “Designed by Mark Knauer, the former Anthropologie building features an urban industrial backdrop, which will provide a fantastic setting for Chicago's premier deep dish pizza.”
The menu will be highlighted by Malnati’s legendary deep dish pizza; however, an exclusive bar menu featuring signature drinks and appetizers will supplement the iconic menu.
