Chicago based Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria is extending its longtime Valentine’s Day tradition of offering heart shaped deep dish pizzas. Previously the charming pizzas were only available on February 14th every year, but beginning March 15, 2011 they will be available by special order through the company’s catering department. The 9” heart shaped pizzas are the same legendary deep dish recipe the company has become famous for and been serving for 40 years.
Lou Malnati’s hopes to capitalize on the special events market, especially weddings and anniversaries, by offering the novelty pizzas full time. With the increasing desire to offer late night snacks at weddings and other social gatherings, consumers will find that Malnati’s is not only a first-rate selection but an economical one as well. Long known for its consistent quality and legendary recipe, Malnati’s is also a tremendous value. Currently there are 11 full service restaurants and 21 carry-out and delivery Lou Malnati Pizzerias across the Chicago land area. A twelfth restaurant is set to open in the summer of 2011 in downtown Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. The Gold Coast restaurant will be the company’s new flagship location and have the largest seating capacity of all the Malnati restaurants to date. It will also feature a large private dining room suitable for special events of up to 150 people.
