There’s a first time for everything, but we know you will never forget your first bite of Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza. BuzzFeed Video recently found a few Californians who had never tried Chicago deep dish pizza (we know, it’s hard to believe!). They got a taste of our deep dish, and let’s just say their reactions were very… interesting. Watch the video below!
With the help of many volunteers, we set up shop in the middle of the track and served up over 1,800 slices of our famous deep dish as part of the Season Ticket Holder Trackside Party.
We are proud to support this team as they raise awareness for pediatric cancer and we’re also proud to join them in the fight through the Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Fund. If you would like to join us in the fight against pediatric cancer, you can donate to the 45th Annual Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Benefit at www.lmcb.org.
Amidst all the excitement over the Blackhawks parade in Chicago today, one thing is clear: we love a good celebration. While we’re thrilled to be celebrating this victory, we’re also thrilled to have the opportunity to give to those in need by feeding people who need help both locally and in Tampa. Continue Reading ›
We’re supporting Chicago Archbishop Blase J. Cupich in a friendly bet for a good cause with Bishop Robert N. Lynch of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
In the (unlikely) event the Blackhawks lose the series to the Tampa Bay Lightning, we’ll ship enough of our famous deep dish pizza to feed 300 guests of the Pinellas Hope homeless shelter in Tampa Bay. And if the Blackhawks take The Cup, Bishop Lynch has committed to send grapefruit to St. Leo’s Residence for Veterans here in Chicago.
Whether The Cup goes to the Blackhawks or the Lightning, we’re happy to support a good cause. Our deep dish will be taking a trip to Tampa Bay either way… but we still want that grapefruit and The Cup in Chicago!
It’s all about the ingredients! One of the crucial ingredients that makes up our legendary deep dish pizza is the chunky tomato sauce. Our tomato sauce is so good in fact, that FOX 32 News Chicago asked Marc Malnati to share some of the secrets behind picking the best tomatoes. Watch below as Marc dishes on how to select the best tomatoes!
Our very own Marc Malnati was named as one of 50 leaders in Chicago’s food culture selected in Newcity’s Big Heat: Chicago’s Food and Drink Fifty 2015. The article lists fifty members of Chicago’s “culinary culture” that have helped to shape the Chicago food scene, making our city one of the food capitals of the world. According to Newcity’s article,
These are the men and women who set the standard, change the game, initiate food movements, re-imagine what it means to have dinner in Chicago—and perhaps most importantly, help fill our lives with exponentially more deliciousness.
We may be a little biased, but we can’t think of a better person than Marc to be on this list! Congratulations, Marc!
