Friday, February 20th and Saturday, February 21st, brave participants in the SUPER Plunge took 24 “icy dips” into Lake Michigan as part of a fundraising effort for the Illinois Special Olympics. We supported the Plungers in the best way we know how – by providing hot pizza!
On Tuesday, February 17th, a ribbon cutting ceremony marked the official opening of Lou Malnati’s in Oswego. Attendees included Mayor Brian LeClercq and State Rep. Keith Wheeler (pictured below). Guests enjoyed deep dish pizza and the opportunity to meet Marc and Jeanne Malnati.
The design of the new carryout, located at 2848 U.S. 34, is inspired by Oswego’s past as a drag racing town between the 50s and 70s. According to Interior Designer Catrina Won, the vintage steering wheels, garage signs, and photography displayed are a tribute to the heritage and historic character of the town in a classic, subtle way. Earlier today, Chicago couple Dawn and Tom were married by Pete McMurray, live on the Steve Cochran show at the Hotel Baker. We had the honor of serving deep dish pizza (heart-shaped of course) to the happy couple and crew of the show.
