This weekend Lollapalooza descends on Chicago as music lovers flock to Grant Park. More than 100 bands from an array of genres will take to one of eight stages over the course of the three day festival.
While Lollapalooza is first and foremost a music festival, in recent years the addition of Green Street has also made the festival a celebration of local art vendors, farmers, and organizations dedicated to community involvement and environmental issues. Take a stroll through the area for some great eco-friendly shopping, farm-to-festival bites, and explore ways you can take action to support some great causes. It’s not your typical rock festival experience, but worth checking out when giving your eardrums a break.
Stop by Our Tent for a Slice!
After rocking out, you’re going to need to refuel. No need to leave the festival though; just head to Chow Town North for some deep dish from Lou Malnati’s (Don’t forget to “Snap-A-Slice”!) Find a place to rest your feet, sit back, and take in some of the best people watching this side of the Lake Michigan.
