On Tuesday, May 30th, 300 deep-dish-pizza-loving New Yorkers headed to Toro for a sold out one-night-only Lou Malnati’s pop-up.
The event was a coordinated effort by Marc Malnati and his son, Toro co-owner Will Malnati. Ingredients (yes, even the water!) were shipped to New York, and all of the pizza making preparations were overseen by Marc Malnati himself.
The consensus? It truly was an authentic Windy City deep dish pizza experience, served in the Big Apple.
