We’re moving on up!
A second floor dining room at our River North restaurant opened just in time for lunch this past Friday. And we mean JUST in time. The paint hadn’t even dried yet when we took our first order in the new dining space! The expansion added about 65 additional seats and the exterior of the restaurant received some updating too. It sure looks beautiful (if we do say so ourselves).
In other Malnati news, we’re up and running in Palos Heights. A new carry-out and delivery location opened at 12801 S Harlem Avenue on September 25th.
Stay tuned. We’ve got more things cooking in the West Loop, North Center, and Oswego!

The Block Party will go down Saturday, September 20th, just outside the Goose Island Brewery at Fulton & Wood. Goose Island Brewing Company will feature some exclusive, rare beers, and there will be plenty of good food to chow down on. Beer cotton candy, anyone?
Saturday’s Block Party will also feature live music with two stages. One stage is dedicated to local bands – Heavy Timers, Secret Colours, and Twin Peaks, while the other stage will feature groups like Thao & the Get Down Stay Down and The Breeders.
Check out Goose Island’s event page for a full list of featured beers and event details.
The race will begin and end at Soldier Field and it’s sure to be a fun kickoff event for football season. The Bears promise a gameday-like atmosphere for the pre-race pep rally with appearances by the Bears Drumline and Staley Da Bear. Check out the Bears’ event page for registration and race details.
At Thursday’s race, runners will pick to run for their favorite player’s “team.” Between Lance Briggs, Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Peanut Tillman, who would you run for? Whether you’re running in the race or not, let us know in the comments!
Sunday, August 17th, Lou Malnati’s celebrated its employees and their families by throwing a company picnic! The picnic is a great way for employees from every restaurant to get together and celebrate the great company we work for.
Picnic activities included: Bingo, relay races, and carnival rides. For many employees, the highlight of the day was the soccer tournament. Each store assembled a team of their best players, and after some fierce competition, this year’s winner was…PARK RIDGE!!
Check out our highlight reel for a recap of the day!
