The Kelly Clarkson Show featured a segment about By The Hand Kids Club and how Chicago students transformed a former liquor store into a produce market.
We have supported By The Hand Kids Club for many years and Donnita Travis, Executive Director said,
At a time with so much turmoil in the world, our youth are leading the way to not only build a healthier community, but to bring hope and positive change through fresh food. Our kids are the solution and our friends at Malnati’s make it possible. Thank you!
We’ve teamed up with our friends at Weber Grills to show you just how easy it is to grill a frozen Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza.
Watch as Weber Head Grill Master, Kevin Kolman, shows you step by step how to grill a Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza.
To grill your pizza on a charcoal grill, using ¾ of a chimney, preheat your grill by placing the charcoal evenly around the outside of the charcoal grate in a complete circle. You’ll be targeting temps at 375-400°. The dampers should be set to about half way open. Place pizza in the center of the grate and use same cooking times as above.
To grill your pizza on a pellet grill, set your Weber SmokeFire up to be anywhere between 375-400° for 10-15 minutes. Place pizza on the top rack, directly in the center of the grill and use same cooking times as above.
Use the same instructions as above, but cook pizzas for 20-25 minutes, again checking for a temperature of at least 165°.

Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated writer, director, producer, and actor Bonnie Hunt served as master of ceremonies at the charity event. Guests listened to a discussion with Marc Malnati, Jean Malnati Miller, and co-director and surgical director of the institute, James P. Chandler, and enjoyed a live auction featuring a variety of items and experiences. One hotly contested experience was “Dinner with the Docs” – a dinner at Lou Malnati’s Gold Coast with doctors from the institute, and of course, deep dish pizza!
This money will help to advance medical research and clinical care for patients with brain and spinal cord tumors at the Malnati Brain Tumor Institute.
