On August 29th, our Lakewood location hosted a customer appreciation night to thank our customers for 10 great years in the Lakewood community.

Customers stopping by the restaurant to dine-in or pick up dinner spun a prize wheel for a chance to score some Lou’s swag, including gift cards, Lou’s shirts, frozen pizzas, and more!

All Chicagoland locations will open at 4pm on Sunday, August 13th so employees can enjoy our Annual Company Picnic together with their families.

What goes on at a Lou Malnati’s Company Picnic?

The picnic is a day where our entire Chicagoland team (our Phoenix team enjoyed their picnic in May!) comes together for a day of fun. We start it off with a soccer tournament, winner gets bragging rights for the year, and each store designs a team t-shirt that shows off their creativity and team spirit. There’s family fun games and entertainment, and of course, food.

Yes, we do enjoy some pizza because…this is Lou Malnati’s, after all!

For the past seven years, employees, friends, and families from Lou Malnati’s and Soul City Church have gathered to assemble Thanksgiving food baskets for local families in need.

This year, on Saturday, November 19th, we filled over 1,200 baskets! Each basket includes everything needed to make a Thanksgiving feast, including turkey, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, cookies, and more. Hand-drawn cards, made by the kiddos in attendance, were also included in the baskets.

This event is not only a way for all of us to give thanks by giving back, but it’s really a hallmark of our tradition of generosity here at Lou Malnati’s.

Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors, attendees, and donors, we raised a record high amount of money at the 46th Annual Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Benefit!

What was the total? Upwards of $280,000!

These much needed funds will be donated to cancer research and treatment programs at the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute, Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Gilda’s Club. We are proud to continue to support these organizations!

The Cancer Research Benefit took place on Saturday, September 17, 2016 and guests embraced the theme of the event by donning Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts for a “Lou’au.” We also held our first ever online auction after the event, raising even more money for the cause.

Thank you again to all of the supporters of the 46th Annual Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Benefit…we’ll see you next year!
