Four tennis greats sit down to enjoy a slice of deep dish pizza…

Sounds like the start to a funny joke, right?

Well, NO JOKE, Roger Federer, Rod Laver, John McEnroe, and Nick Kyrgios ate lunch at Lou Malnati’s South Loop on Monday, March 19th.

And it was kind of a big deal.

The tennis pros were in town to promote September’s Laver Cup that will take place in Chicago at the United Center, and of course, they couldn’t help but make a stop for some pizza along the way!

Lou Malnati’s grandson and Northwestern men’s basketball player, Tino Malnati, treated his teammates to a taste of Chicago’s best deep dish by making the secret family recipe!

When it comes to making an authentic Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza, Tino’s dad, Rick Malnati, offers some sage advice to his son:

“You can never screw up a pizza as long as you live.”

And Tino doesn’t disappoint…
