For the past five years, employees, friends, and families from Lou Malnati’s and Soul City Church have gathered to assemble Thanksgiving food baskets for local families in need. It’s an event for the whole family with all hands on deck, where the kids create hand-drawn cards to include in the baskets, and children and adults work together in an assembly line to fill the baskets.
Check out our video from last year’s event to see what it’s all about!
This year, we’re continuing this Thanksgiving tradition, and our hope is to fill 1,500 food baskets!
Baskets will be distributed to families in need through Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Lawndale Community Church, River City Community Church, and By the Hand Club for Kids.

I would like my daughter’s to experience the “gift of giving”…Are there any volunteer opportunities to help pack the baskets for 2015 Thanksgiving?
Thank you for your interest, Connie! Please send us your contact information using this link: http://www.loumalnatis.com/contact and we will reach out to you directly.
How about actual food donations at your restaurants?
Hi Hilary, thank you for your offer, however we are not accepting canned food donations at our restaurants. If you would like to bring some canned food to our Home Office in Northbrook at 3685 Woodhead Drive, we would happily accept it! If Northbrook is too far, we encourage you to bring your donations to your local food pantry. Thank you for your generosity!
