Lou Malnati’s was ranked as a Chicago Top Workplace for the seventh year in a row!
Each year, our employees complete a survey about their experience working for Lou Malnati’s. Their responses have earned us a spot on the list year after year, but much more importantly, our employees are the ones who make Lou Malnati’s a special place to work.
We take our survey responses very seriously!
We review all feedback and make action plans to improve and act on employee concerns or suggestions. But in true Malnati fashion…we also have fun celebrating each other and the results!
Our restaurants with the top scores and most improved scores year over year are rewarded with “Culture Celebrations,” where we celebrate their commitment to each other and their efforts to improve as a team.
We’re making things even more exciting this year by sending a special care package to every single restaurant to share as a team. With goodies like Carol’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, Georgia Nut chocolate covered almonds, and Fannie May Pixies, this is one sweet way to celebrate being a Top Workplace!
This year, along with being on the list of Top Workplaces, the Chicago Tribune featured us in an article about internal promotion, where they highlight ways we invest in our people to help grow their careers in our company. Check out the full article, including a video, here, as well as the full list of the top 100 employers in Chicago here.
So what’s it like working at Lou’s?
When asked why they like their job, a few of the comments shared in this year’s survey include: “My managers are supportive and encourage new ideas” and “It’s fast paced, never a dull moment. The people I work with have become like family.”
One employee wrote:
“Everyone cares about you. Not just at work but your personal life too. Lou’s goes to great extremes to help managers with any bump in the road they may come across.”
We might be biased, but we think our Lou’s Crew is the best crew around!

Myself and my 3 children had a pizza dinner on Jan.6,2016. The food was very good and the service as well.
But what was very upsetting was the fact that we were also going to the Chicago Blackhawks game. And we were told we could leave our car and use the shuttle bus to and from the game.
The only thing was that the bus never game back to get us and the workers at Lou Malnatis were trying to call him and he wasn’t answering his phone.
So we ended up missing half of the first period and it cost me another 29.00 to park my car. Pretty upsetting, when really it would’ve cost nothing for parking if the gentlemen would’ve answered his phone.
Hi Anthony, we are so sorry this happened, and totally understand your frustration. We will be in touch to discuss this further, and again, we sincerely apologize for this experience.
