On Sunday, August 21st, Lou Malnati’s Lakewood is hosting the Deep Dish Dash 5K Run/Walk!

All proceeds from this race will benefit the Family Health Partnership Clinic’s breast cancer fund, which helps uninsured women in McHenry County gain access to life saving screening, education, and care coordination. Raising funds for this organization is just one of our reasons for organizing this race; we also “dash” for a few other reasons…

deep-dish-dash1. Community. Lou Malnati’s is proud to be a part of the Lakewood community for the past nine years. Through this event, we want to celebrate together.

2. Support. Lou Malnati’s Lakewood has three breast cancer survivors on staff. Raising money for a cause that helps others who are going through the same fight is a great way for us to support them, while also giving back to our community.

3. Meagan Sunde. Meagan was a member of our opening team at Lakewood and played a large part in creating the close family culture that our team still enjoys today. On November 19, 2014 we lost Meagan to her long battle with cancer. Meagan faced her sickness head on as she did with all things, and she was an inspiration to many. She was honest, kind, and always the life of the party. The Deep Dish Dash is one of the many ways that Meagan’s legacy lives on.

Join the Deep Dish Dash on Sunday, August 21st for a day of fundraising, community, and of course, deep dish pizza!
