If you are looking for a peek into Malnati history, there is no better place to find it than at Lou Malnati’s South Loop. The walls are lined with Malnati family photographs dating as far back as the early 1900s. This location is a full-service restaurant that features a wine and beer list but does not have a bar. Party plans are available for large groups, as well as full-service catering and carryout or delivery. Our South Loop restaurant delivers to nearby neighborhoods such as Pilsen, Chinatown, and Bridgeport, among others.
Our South Loop pizzeria makes every deep dish pizza using the same authentic family recipe. First things first, fresh dough is patted out by hand and raised up high on the sides of a seasoned pizza pan. Next is everybody’s favorite step, the cheese! Fresh mozzarella cheese that has come from the same Wisconsin Dairy for the past 40 years is layered into the pizza pan. For the finale, we add authentic tomato sauce that’s made with California vine-ripened tomatoes picked at the peak of ripeness. Then it times to bake, the sauce becomes warm, the cheese melts and the dough transforms into a buttery flaky crust. Our legendary deep dish pizza is made to be devoured by hungry South Loop visitors just like you.
Where should we begin? A must see attraction is the Skydeck at Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower). You’ll have the once in a lifetime experience of viewing the Windy City from over 1,400 ft in the sky!
If you’re a sports fan, Guaranteed Rate Field is home to the young and scrappy Chicago White Sox. Furthermore, if you’re excited about the new quarterback in town, the Monsters of the Midway claim their home at a stadium dedicated to the men and women of armed forces, aptly named, Soldier Field. Often times a family will attend a sporting event and then satisfy their hunger at our South Loop pizza restaurant after the hometown victory.
Perhaps science and discovery is your thing. Visitors to Chicago spend hours getting lost in the Field Museum, The Shedd Aquarium and The colorful Art Institute of Chicago. There’s so much to explore and take in, so we recommend doing as much as you can before you tuck in to a slice of our amazing deep dish pizza.
Street parking can be found outside the south loop restaurant directly on State Street, in front of and across the street from the restaurant. Additional parking can be found in a parking garage just around the corner on East 8th Street.
