Saturday, November 7th, our Wilmette pizzeria sponsored a Dance Marathon at Our Lady of Perpetual Hope School in Glenview, benefitting Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Wilmette Dance MarathonMore than 300 high school students from Loyola Academy, New Trier High School, North Shore Country Day School and Regina Dominican High School, joined together for the first multi-high school dance marathon, in which they danced for six hours straight to raise funds for the hospital. Besides the non-stop dancing, the event included inspiring stories from families touched by the hospital, as well as a live performance from the band Pulsebeat. We were also on hand with deep dish pizza slices for the hungry dancers. Six hours of dancing definitely requires some sustenance!

Wilmette Dance Marathon Funds RaisedThe Children’s Bridges Teen Leadership Council organized the event, and aimed to raise $25,000 in support of Lurie Children’s patients. Guess what? They crushed it! At the end of the night, more than $35,000 was raised.

Great job, everyone!
