Lou’s was happy to play a small part in fueling some of the runners! On October 12th our South Loop, West Loop, and Lawndale stores served the 1,100 members of the World Vision running team a great pasta dinner! On race day, three of our stores cranked about nearly 4,000 slices of pizza!
On October 17th, Lou’s celebrated at the Grayslake Park District Pumpkin Fest! Our team dished out over 300 slices of pizza, while participants played festival games in their best Halloween costume! A few days later on the 19th, Lou Malnati’s joined the Glenview library for Glencon 2019! We served pizza while participants celebrated all things pop culture.
On the 17th, we joined Bill and Wendy from WGN in Barrington for TreeTime, the annual tree trade-in! Lou Malnati’s handed out over 150 slices of pizza to loyal listeners.
Our Lou’s staff put on their finest formal wear in September to serve up some slices. On September 26, Lou’s and other Chicago restaurants gathered for the 63rd Annual Gold Coast Fashion Show! Lou’s joined other local staples and dished out over 300 slices of pizza. Proceeds from the gala benefited Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago!
A couple nights later, enjoying a Night at the Museum, our Lou’s staff served some slices to over 400 young professionals in the Chicago area at the Evolve 2019 Field Museum Gala on September 28!
Little City is a Chicago non-profit that provides services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We served out 150 slices to a very hungry and very happy crowd!
The 3rd annual Chicago Pizza Summit was hosted at the Theater on the Lake, all styles of pizza were represented, including deep dish! Lou’s served out over 1,000 slices of pizza – that’s a lot of sauce!
Lou’s has gotten to fuel some of the best player and teams this season. On October 4, our Lou’s crew served up a big catering dinner for the New Trier staff and their families before the big homecoming football game!
The celebration started with a lunch for first responders and members of the military thanking them for their service and remembering those lost on 9/11. They were so appreciative and loved having Lou’s as a special treat. Later that day they offered free wine tastings and a prize wheel for guests to win some Lou’s swag. The celebration also included tours of fire and air force trucks and a meet and greet with a Police K-9 unit.
Congratulations to our Scottsdale team for a successful event, we wish you a very happy 1st anniversary!
Coaches, volunteers, and the Northbrook Park District were super appreciative of Lou’s contribution and partnership with their local sports and youth programs!
With a brass band on hand, Lou’s sampled out over 200 slices to many Lincoln Square locals who enjoyed having Lou’s there!
Unfortunately, one hour into the event it started to downpour but that didn’t stop us! Lou’s continued to sample pizza inside during that time and was a clear crowd favorite. Some of the other local pizza vendors include: Judy’s Pizza, MOD Pizza, and Sarpino’s among others. All remaining pizzas were then taken over to the local BJBE Temple as we sampled out over 300 slices of pizza. Many people shared their stories of Lou’s and being a customer since the early Lincolnwood days!
With over 100 motorcyclists riding 60+ miles in the pouring rain, they were excited to be welcomed with Lou’s pizza. With over 150 people in attendance, all were super grateful to have Lou’s come out and Lou’s was delighted to help donate to a wonderful cause!
In Broadview, over 250 slices were sampled out with large crowds gathering around the Lou’s booth.
The organizers from the Schererville Police Department said that Lou’s booth lines were the longest they had ever seen! It was a great opportunity for us to let local residents know that we are now open and that we are proud to be a part of the Schererville community. Highlights of the event included Lou’s debuting their beautiful new pop-up tents and a helicopter landing in the middle of the park.
Lou’s was able to sample out over 500 slices of pizza to the entire Stevenson faculty. Teachers and administrative staff were super grateful to have Lou’s on hand and were looking forward to participate in our fundraiser programmers as well as ordering catering from us throughout the school year.
As a partner in our Summer Reading Programs, Lou’s was happy to make the donation and feed 50 members of the local library. We were told that the pizza was a “huge hit” among all and they look forward to working with us on next year’s summer reading program.
The event is a concert series in Addison Village with thousands of spectators. Lou’s sold over 500 slices of pizza and brought great awareness to the Addison location, which was directly across the street from the concert! A special thanks to Ryan and the Addison team for doing a great job!
With a live band, face painting and balloon making activities, Lou’s was on hand to sample out nearly 300 slices of pizza to local residents of Oak Park. A big thanks is in order to Jaromie and the entire Oak Park staff for providing assistance during the event.
We sampled out over 250 slices of pizza to residents and helped introduce our restaurant to many new residents who have moved in from out of town. Other local restaurants and vendors on hand included Portillo’s, Cactus Bar and Grill, Xsport Fitness, and BLVD Restaurant.
Motorcyclists journeyed over 50 miles and ended up at Schaumburg Boomers Baseball Stadium where they could purchase food from other vendors and get a free sample slice of Lou’s! The riders loved the pizza and were super appreciative of Lou’s participating. A big thank you to Linda and the Schaumburg team for supplying help and cranking out 90 pizzas.
