District Manager Mike Sterner, Manager Paul Lelli, and Manager Andrea Castillo were joined by the Mayor of Glendale, Jerry Weiers for the event.
We are proud to serve the Glendale community from our new location at 7507 W Rose Garden Lane, open Monday-Thursday at 4pm and Friday-Sunday at 11am, offering carryout, delivery, and catering services.
The celebration started with a lunch for first responders and members of the military thanking them for their service and remembering those lost on 9/11. They were so appreciative and loved having Lou’s as a special treat. Later that day they offered free wine tastings and a prize wheel for guests to win some Lou’s swag. The celebration also included tours of fire and air force trucks and a meet and greet with a Police K-9 unit.
Congratulations to our Scottsdale team for a successful event, we wish you a very happy 1st anniversary!
The mission of the Laura Hart Burdick Foundation is to provide social support and financial assistance to lung transplant patients and their families and to increase organ donor awareness.
Since 2007, Laura’s Run has since become an annual event featuring 10K and 5K courses for runners and a 1-mile course for walkers, “Laura’s Doggie Trot.” The event benefits patients treated at the Norton Thoracic Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
At Metro Tech, students participating in the S.T.A.R.T. Program run breakfast in the cafeteria every day from start to finish, from laundry, to dishes, and everything in between.
The kids took a detailed tour of our kitchen to see how we operate compared to how they run their cafeteria, and they were pretty jealous that we send out our aprons and shirts to be cleaned and don’t have to wash them ourselves like they do at school!
Of course, they also enjoyed learning how to make their very own authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizzas – we had a blast, too!
On Thursday, May 12th, our Phoenix pizzeria hosted our third and final charity soft opening event, benefitting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
The night was once again a great success! When asked about the event, Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Steve Schnall said:
“Lou Malnati’s is already making an impact in the Valley and at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. We appreciate the generosity of the team at Lou Malnati’s and are grateful for their commitment to helping us provide the best pediatric healthcare to the children of our community and beyond.”
Giving back to our community is at the core of our brand, and something we are incredibly passionate about. We were proud to support Chrysalis, Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock, and the Phoenix Children’s Hospital with these soft opening events.

Founded by Alice Cooper, yes, that Alice Cooper, this faith-based organization is a creative sanctuary for troubled teens. Located in Phoenix, the Solid Rock Teen Center is a place where teens grow through music, arts, vocational programs, and fellowship in a safe environment during non-school hours. Their primary goal is, “to help meet spiritual, economical, physical and social needs of teenagers in our community.”
Wednesday night, the Solid Rock supporters came out in droves to get a taste of our legendary deep dish pizza, while supporting this great organization at the same time. Sounds like a win-win, doesn’t it?! “The Godfather of Shock Rock” himself, Alice Cooper, made an appearance at the event as well! Well… it was a cutout of him, but he was there in spirit!
Thank you to the supporters of Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock for making the night such a huge success!
