On Thursday, June 22nd, our Gold Coast team was out sampling pizzas at 360 CHICAGO for a fundraiser for My Block My Hood My City (M3).

My Block My Hood My City is an incredible organization that provides youth with new experiences, exposing them to possibilities beyond their own communities.  The mission of M3 is to help teenagers overcome the poverty and isolation they face, boosting educational attainment and opening them to opportunities that make a difference in their lives.  All proceeds of the event benefited My Block My Hood My City.  

There were many different activities throughout the event such as board games, a magician, a DJ, late night movies, and of course … deep dish!

On Thursday, June 2nd, our Gold Coast pizzeria sponsored the second annual Reverse Rett Chicago gala at Galleria Marchetti.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for research to find treatments, and ultimately a cure for Rett Syndrome.

The 375 attendees of the event enjoyed food from various sponsors, including slices of our deep dish pizza! Between this year’s event and last year’s event, the gala has raised over $500,000 for Rett Syndrome research.

We were proud to be a part of this successful fundraising event!

Zero Percent has launched foodrescue.io as a fundraising platform for any charity looking to source excess fresh, nutritious food and disburse it to their communities. 100% of the donation money goes to the selected charity.

Lou Malnati’s Gold Coast pizzeria is partnering with Zero Percent and foodrescue.io for Restaurant Giving Week February 22-28th. How does it work? Throughout the week, it’s “give one, get one,” meaning if you donate $5 to a local charity via foodrescue.io any time in February, you can use your donation receipt during Restaurant Giving Week at Lou Malnati’s Gold Coast for a free treat – a chocolate chip cookie pizza!

Based on Zero Percent’s data from rescuing over one million meals, a $5 donation through foodrescue.io will fund between 15 to 20 meals to people in need.
