Created by Old Style Beer, in conjunction with Empty Bottle Presents, this growing Windy City classic celebrates all things pizza. This year the event moved to Thalia Hall in order to allow twice as many fans to get in on the action than previous years. There were approximately 650 pizza fans in both sessions!
It was a great night of live music, drinks, and … deep dish!
Hosted by the Children’s Service Board, this annual event raises funds on behalf of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago; specifically to assist in the development of groundbreaking programs such as Molecular Oncology and Bioinformatics.
This event welcomes many guests among the fashion elite for its competition of up-and-coming designers who seek the coveted Gold Coast Fashion Award. Most importantly, it brought thousands of people together who helped raise nearly $1,000,000, in style.
The evening was designated to help fund much needed melanoma research and to honor influential individuals who strive to make a noticeable difference in the melanoma community.
This fancy event had over 30 food and drink vendors, all of which was donated to the event! The Green and Gold Gala, Lane Tech’s largest community fundraising event, strives to raise funds to sustain the programs run by the school. There was a silent and live auction, and together they totaled nearly $100,000!
We’ll be back next year; stay golden Lane Tech!
On Friday, June 10th, our West Loop pizzeria brought deep dish pizzas to Whitney Young High School for the First Move Chess program.
The over 300 kids attending the event learned how to play chess, and enjoyed a deep dish pizza lunch! Between the chess games and the pizza, we would say the day was a total win for the kids…or maybe we should just say…checkmate!
