The event recognized teachers and volunteers in the district by honoring them with awards. All proceeds from the event benefited The Student Excellence Foundation for Wheaton-Warrenville District 200.
We were honored to supply deep dish pizza for the evening!
The event was a play on words of March Madness where students and their families came to the school for an evening of math games, music, and of course … pizza!
It was a great night of educational family fun!
On Thursday, January 19th, our Downers Grove store participated in Pizza Wars at Downers Grove High School and walked away with the title of Best Sauce! At the event, we served slices of our famous deep dish pizza to about 700 hungry Pizza Wars guests.
The event was organized by the District 99 Education Foundation. The Foundation raises funds to obtain resources to enhance the educational experiences for students and teachers alike by providing academic grants and creating new scholastic programs. At the end of the night, $15,000 was raised to benefit the Foundation!

Guests will have a chance to explore a real fire truck, see the classic original NVFD equipment and even have their deep dish served by a real fire fighter at their table!
Fun fact: Does that garage in the photo look familiar? It’s now our dining room!
On July 21st, a class from Oak Park and River Forest High School came to our Oak Park pizzeria to learn how to make real Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Oak Park manager Mark Valetti taught the class and said, “It was a blast!” Judging by the smiles on these kids’ faces, we would say they agree!
