In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Lou Malnati's IS HELPING TO ce-LOU-brate teachers!

Students, Administration and Parents have nominated their teachers to win and here are some of the submissions.

Please check back for updates of the celebrations in the coming days. 80 teachers across Lou Malnati's communities are being rewarded. 

Dr. Brittanny Shroeder at Spracale Elementary in Tempe, AZ was nominated by her student, "RH". 

"In the spirit of all things Taylor Swift—empowering, inspiring, and a touch magical—I nominate the one and only Dr. Schroeder for the Teacher Appreciation Week prize. Why, you ask? Let me give you the chorus to this hit.

First off, Dr. Schroeder has been an incredible guide and mentor to my 5th-grade daughter, echoing the transformative and supportive energy of Taylor herself. Like Taylor crafts her lyrics to lift others, Dr. Schroeder crafts her lessons to elevate her students’ minds and spirits.

Second, just as Taylor Swift steps up for causes close to her heart, Dr. Schroeder leads by example outside the classroom, volunteering as the Coach for Girls on the Run. Through her guidance, she has been instrumental in building not just my daughter’s confidence, but that of every girl on the team, showing them they have the power to change the world, just like Swifties know they can.

Furthermore, embodying the unstoppable spirit of Taylor, who juggles world tours, album launches, and stands up for artists’ rights, Dr. Schroeder, even as a new mom, brings unparalleled energy and dedication to her class. Her ability to make learning an exciting, joy-filled journey despite her personal responsibilities is nothing short of inspirational.

In conclusion, for being a fearless leader, a beacon of strength and positivity, and for creating an environment where young minds are encouraged to shine bright, Dr. Schroeder deserves all the applause—the standing ovation at the end of a Taylor Swift concert, if you will.

Let’s award Dr. Schroeder this prize, acknowledging her as the phenomenal teacher and empowering role model she truly is. In the words of Taylor, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind”—and Dr. Schroeder embodies this mantra every single day."

Mr. Michael O'Toole, Carmel High School in Carmel, IN was nominated by 7 students! Here is what one had to say:

"Mr. O'toole is what I've always wanted in a teacher... I've tended to notice that his classroom is a large safe space for everyone who knows him, even students who don't have him for any class. His reputation across the school is probably the most wholesome I've seen and we all call him the world's smallest celebrity. Students enjoy talking about their interests to him and he takes part in many conversations that contribute to a student's priority."

"She never stops pushing students to be the best student they can be. She loves and cares deeply for every student she teaches, and she never chooses favorites. She is the reason I get 50/50 on my English essays, why I am so obsessed with History, and why my best friend (Chloe) is constantly grammar correcting me whenever we text. She truly is the best teacher I have ever had and I am so grateful I had her as a teacher, and that my little brother has her now to teach him the same things. -Tati "

Ms. Miles, from Willow Lake Elementary in Indianapolis was ce"LOU"brated with her classroom on 5/7/24. She was nominated by her Principal for her "selfless dedication to the students she serves". Congratulations Ms. Miles!
